Description

Green sugar apple. Tasty easy to grow tropical fruit tree. Grows well in sandy poor soils. Small to medium size tree. Can bare flower and fruit within 2 years from seed.  Some people report having trouble sprouting these seeds,  the seed coat is quite thick therefore we recommend soaking them overnight and scarifying them before sowing. This is not a requirement but will improve germination. A well draining medium is recommended, too.

These seeds were in their majority selected from fruits of the known cultivar “Sweeping”. Sugar apples are known to be quite true to seed.
